7 Types of Coffee Drinkers; Which One Are You?

What you order or brew says a lot about you. Do you recognize yourself in any of these “Coffee Personalities?“
Dark Roast – Dark, smooth and understated. Dark roast drinkers are serious about their brew. Drinkers of dark brew view life as strong and bitter, but add a little sugar or honey and things look a lot sweeter. Don’t talk to them before they’ve consumed at least 2 cups without risk of seeing their dark side!
Pour Over – The pour over coffee brewer doesn’t mess around with timers, drip machines or other gadgets. Hot water and coffee beans are where it’s at. The pour over drinker is down-to-earth, practical and no-nonsense. No frills, no fluff. This coffee drinker probably grinds the beans the old-fashioned way…by hand.
Cold Brew – The process of cold-brewing coffee takes soaking the beans ahead of time. The person who cold brews their coffee is a planner, list maker and thinks ahead. Cold brewers are steady and methodical folks, but can be a little predictable. The cold brewer knows exactly what they’re having for breakfast today, tomorrow and the next day, because it’s most likely the same each day.
Nonfat Caramel Macchiato – The Macchiato drinker wants all the fun and none of the consequences of their actions. They don’t mind paying for the Venti, but don’t want the calories that come along with it. The Caramel Macchiato drinker is fun, impulsive and a bit of a trouble maker. Definitely the one you want to hang out with!
Kopi Luwak – Any serious coffee drinker knows that Kopi Luwak is the most expensive coffee in the world. The drinkers of this “delicacy” can be considered to be haughty, arrogant and a bit pretentious, not to mention extremely wealthy. While most of us might try it once for the novelty, the Kopi Luwak drinker prides himself on being able to afford to drink it daily. Heck , they would pay a monthly box subscription!
Pumpkin Spice Latte – The Pumpkin Spice Latte drinker goes along with the trends; decorates and dresses for the season. This is your co-worker who wears the blinking Christmas light earrings to work every year. We want to hang out with them. They give the best gifts, and bring homemade cookies to work. This is not a serious coffee drinker dedicated to their daily brew, but one who loves all the flavors of the holidays.
Espresso – The espresso drinker is a purist. None of these fancy coffee flavored drinks for them. The strong and bitter brew in a tiny cup satisfies their taste. Give them that jolt with an extra shot. They take everything in life that way as well. Espresso drinkers don’t mess around, you always know where you stand with them. Don’t ask their opinion unless you want to hear the hard truth, and whatever you do, don’t call it “expresso!”
